At least they are for yourself......everyone around here is a close relative of mine, and it seems like I'm the designated hemmer, hole-patcher, all-around sewist for our little family. Of course, they're all elderly aunts and uncles so I don't mind, but I just love that saying someone has as a tagline.....(I'm paraphrasing, along the lines of) "Asking a quilter to hem pants is like asking Leonardo Da Vinci to paint your garage!"

I think that I have you all beaten...
When my son was about 8, I bought some beautiful corduroy to make him a pair of pants. He is now 52...no pants but I did recently use the fabric to make a spare tire cover for my car.
Also, I have 3 quilts in various stages (none near done) that I started 26 years ago to give to my granddaughters when they were two...never completed and I have recently completed other quilts for their kids. Just couldn't get that other stuff done when I was working and have lost interest but MAYBE I'll finish the quilts for their kids second birthdays. Anyone want to bet on that?
