Default Unusual Place Names

I saw a post this morning from a lady in Delaware, Ohio. I thought that sounds different. It made me think of a town back home called Wyoming, Rhode Island. I've often wondered how it got its name. Do you have any places you'd like to share?

I live in an area that used to be called SLEEPER, Missouri. There is nothing there now but a few abandoned buildings, used to have a post office, school, bank, etc.

Where I live often causes confusion -- West New York, New Jersey. There is an East New York; it's in....New York. How about Intercourse, Pa, and I had a friend who lived in Defiance, Ohio, maybe not so unusual but I liked the way it sounded.

We live in Possum Trot, KY. We're right outside of Paducah (Pa Duke Ka). Paducah is 1/2 way between Possum Trot and Monkey's Eyebrow.
