Default Holiday Roundup, A mix of Events

Oh whatever pocessed me to tell hubby that I needed size medium in pj's ahahahahahahah....ok we don't do the buying for Christmas frenzy. I buy underwear and socks and if I need jp's, I let hubby buy that, so he can wrap a gift.

Well, he bought me two nice sets. I wanted the top and pant sets, in a cotton blend, that are so popular now and so comfy, they almost could be worn as clothing. I knew immediately they were too small, what was I thinking? (that I would loose 10 pounds overnight? ahahahah)

So off I went on Tuesday. I decided to just return them and do the mall. I went to JCPenny and they were having a hell of a sale. I had two 10.00 coupons too. I also took four tops back that I bought a week ago and decided to return and re-buy them with the 10.00 coupon.

I then found 70% off great pj's and bought three pairs for less than hubby paid for the two he had bought me lol.

I sat outside in my secret garden about 10 this morning (that's when I rolled out of bed), in my new pj's and enjoyed the 60 degree weather, it felt soooo good. The squirrels came running along the fence when they heard the rocking bench creak lol and I gave them their nuts for the day. Then I just sat and enjoyed.

I have been in a knitting mood and yersterday, while hubby was cutting some branches, I sat in back and kept him company while I knitted. I also think I invented a better way to do the invisible cast on for the toe up socks. It's wonderful to just sit outside this time of year and enjoy nature.

A funny thing happened the other day too. I usually spend time outside everyday, just because. It could be 10 minutes or an hour. Well, I was looking at my Ponderosa lemon tree that I saved from part of the orginal tree that was cut down. It was just a root then and now is a 5 ft tree. It hasn't had fruit yet. Well, I like to touch it now and then because I am so happy that it is here. I touched it, and I am careful because it has thorns. I touched it lightly and the thorn was just barely touching me and I felt a strange feeling come over me, like a warning. Could it be the tree was telling me to be careful? Just food for thought.

I think it was the tree. Plants are living things too. We really don't know. I talk to the old oak etc. Here is something else. I used to sew in the front room on the South side of the house. There was a rose bush just outside the window and it was not a climbing bush either. I would admire it, smell it's roses and talk to it and tell it how beautiful it was etc. Well, call it a fluke or not, that rose bush sprouted a couple long branches and actually turned away from the sun to climb in my window where I would sew everyday. In a few weeks a whole bunch of branches were in the window sill. There is something in the word, "believe". If I believe it exists, it does for me.

I can't decided what to do today. I don't need to cook. I have started a strip quilt but it's not something I want to work on at the moment. I might change before the day is done lol. I did bath the three little dogs and they smell good. They are all tucked up in their beds covered with their blankets.

I believe in talking to plants. Where we lived 10 years ago I had a huge greenhouse and over 300 potted plants( a lot of off cuts which I re-potted) I could walk into that green house and time would stand still and the outside world would disappear. I loved it. My family thought I was a bit gaga because I have always talk to my plants.
My BFF would come over and we would spend all day just re-potting and tidying the plants, laughing and chatting and generally enjoying what we were doing. When we moved to the other side of the country I sold a lot but gave a lot away too. Never again. Was like selling my family.
Your garden sounds like Heaven and your life like bliss. Being happy is wonderful although DH says I'm ridiculously happy because I'm upbeat all the time. Oh well, if you've got it flaunt it if not fake it.
A Happy New year to you Rosyhf.
