Good for you. I wish you great success. I'm giving up all desserts and will do my best to do more charity sewing and knitting.

I know you can do it! It will be a hard struggle but hang in there. The reward will be so worth it!
I don't do lent but my DH does. He usually gives up something food related.

My mother asks me that every year, and every year she gets the same answer: Lentils

Congratulations to you for giving up smoking. I hope that you are successful and feeling great about your decision.

For lent, I am giving up desserts, sweets, snacks, etc. But in addition to that I am also going to work out every day instead of just 3 days a week.

I QUIt smoking 6 months ago!!!
I got sick of raspy breathing, coughing and such and the price of a pack got prohibitive...
It became 7$ and I wanted to spend that on fabric...
200$ a month just was crazy...
Good luck to you and USE your support system!!!

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. It's hard to do ( I quilt years ago ) but it's worth it.

What a great idea. I am a former smoker and know how hard this will be, but you're doing the right thing for yourself and your wonderful children, grandchildren and on and on and on. Good luck, you can do it.

Good luck on the smoking, one of these days I'm going to do it AGAIN. For this year I am offering up chocolate (groan) and I am cutting my fabric spending in half. That doesn't mean I get to save it and spend after Easter, either.

Good luck on the smoking, We quit 5 years ago with the help of the patch. Now the money we spent on smokes is now my truck payment.
