All my cars have had names. From Bonnie, Racey Gracey, Snow White (my First).

I did not give my first Sewing machine a name, but she was well loved and used for 34 years. I have a new machine now and she came with a name, Laura Ashley, She will be known a Laura.

Does anyone here name there sewing machines? What are their names?

I've seen on here that alot give them names. I never seen the point but when I got my HQ18 Avante my DH calls her Ava so it has stuck.

I need to name my Singers before I can go print out a certificate for them. Unfortunately I am no good at thinking up names for inanimate objects. Help......

I keep trying, but they never seem to stick. Which is funny since I talk to them as I sew, especially if they misbehave and I have to unsew something.

Janome is Jan in honor of the lady who demoed her and gave me a lesson after purchase. Rarely call her by name as few others know her by name. I do have a friend who only calls her new machine by her name and she knows Jan.
