I love it. It's so simple and not many know about it.

DD bought one for me and DH who could never work the VCR had it hooked up and going in a matter of minutes. For those that don't know Roku is a device that connects to your tv and you can steam tv shows, movies, and music to your tv from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and others. I'm watching the mini series Pillars of the Earth and it's fantastic. I can watch PBS masterpiece mini series that I have missed. It's inexpensive to buy and Neflix unlimited streaming is $5 a month. Check it out, it's better then cable for me. http://www.roku.com/

We got one early summer but only used it for Netflix which we just canceled for now.

Where are you that you get Netflix streaming for only $5? We just signed up about 3 months ago and it was $8mo.

Will have to check out Hulu, Pandora etc., pretty clueless right now.

Netflix has new plans. Now there is an option to have only unlimited streaming, no DVDs. Crackle is free. I just watched the new episode of Dexter from Showtime on Crackle. The x rated language was edited out. I like that much better.

Huh, didn't notice that Netflix changed their prices. Must have been because of the hoopla and uproar over the increase in DVD prices and the breaking away of streaming and Quickster.

We watch Dexter on Showtime, and hate to admit we really enjoy that show but do cringe at the language.

Have no idea what Crackle is.

My son got the roku 2XS. Great piece of technology if you have a fast internet. I spent my day watching the snag film channel. We will soon get one although with our internet speed at 1.5 meg on a good day I am concerned about HD. Since we only have over the air television here at home this will beat hooking up the computer to the TV all the time.

Excuse me, but what language is this? Does it do away with rabbit ears? LOL! Showing my age, aren't I?

Thank you for posting about the Roku!!! We are dropping our cable service in December when our contract is up. I am looking forward to saving over $100 a month. We have Netflix and Hulu Plus so this will be perfect.
