As soon as dd gets back today from her mother's helper job we are heading out! Going to spend the rest of the week with dh at the camper! I have my Sue blocks all ready to work on and we have fishing poles and the kids are taking their bikes. Of course they still have to do their schoolwork but all afternoon we can play. I miss dh being home so much! If the camper was bigger we'd just go with him full time!

Enjoy!
I wish my DH would go more often. With me retired and him on disability a little absence would make the heart fonder. :-D I've always thought togetherness was overrated.

Ginny-have fun but I have to agree with RaptureLady: I need some space!! DH used to travel 3-4 times a year for up to 6 weeks at a time. Since he lost his job and started a home business he NEVER leaves LOL!! I volunteered for extra hours at my job to get a break. And excuse me--but are all men slobs?? I mean the guy can't make a cup of coffee without leaving a mess!! (Sorry I digress...)

He's got one. He keeps a lot of his RC cars, truck and planes in it. He won't go unless I do because someone has to be there to build a fire, cook and clean up the mess afterwards. He does leave to fly RC planes once in awhile if he's feeling up to it. But even that's a three day ordeal, one to get the planes in the van--then rest, one to go flying for an hour or so--then rest, one to unload--then rest. He's really not in very good shape. One leg is gone, his teeth and most of his hair departed, and he has a metal "ladder" holding his spine together and a metal bar holding his thigh bone together. You should see him at the court house or an airport. He sets every buzzer in the place off.

We have worked together for 23 yr.s and drive to work & home. He use to go to our cabin a dozen times a summer, he stopped last summer and is home most all the time. I agree with other Lady that said togetherness is overrated. Young wives don't get this I'm sure but, believe me after 48 yr.s it is.
