Default wildlife "nests"

I know wildlife rescue organizations love getting crocheted "nests" (essentially deep bowls of various sizes) for orphaned/rescued wildlife while they rehabilitate them. I was wondering if there was a fabric version that can be sewn. I'd love to help these organizations by donating nests, but I haven't found anything appropriate as a sewing project.

Any ideas?

why not try a burlap, it's open and natural, or 100% muslin type of fabric. crochet natural rafia to make small nests. Maybe they have an idea for you that might work. crochet 100% cotton, the type for washcloths loosely crocheted or woven.

What a novel idea! I don't crochet, so I couldn't help.

How about using the microwave bowl holder idea and tweak
it to fit your needs?

Could maybe do some rag pieces , sew them up like the microwave bowl. Leave the rag parts a little longer?

this combined with wool and cotton felting. Scraps from old wool blankets about to be thrown. Thrift stores would be a great source for material.

I would call the organization and ask what their needs are.
