Default Will This Work

I hate to toss anything, as soon as I do I reallly need it. LOL. Anyway we have an old dart board in a wooden cupboard(?). I was thinking of asking DH to modify the cupboard with little shelves with pegs to store my spools of thread in, then can close the doors to keep dust off my threads. Of course I'll have to cover the doors with fabric. Maybe paint a quilt block on the doors & have my own nimi barn quilt. Do you think the cupboard is deep enough to hold a thread spool.

Sounds good for a thread cabinet. Show us pictures when you get it done.

Easy enough to know ... try some of the spools you have already.
Keep in mind that not all spools of thread take the same space.

Can't do that just now. It's back home (Canada) and I'm wintering here in AZ. I'm just planning projects & gathering fabrics (yeah I really need more fabric, big grin).

If you get the dartboard out and it is truly old, don't just toss it out. Old game boards are collectors items. You might be able to sell it on Craigslist or ebay.

Makes sense to me, I have all sizes of wood tote tool boxes that I found in an old barn, on property we bought years ago. They sat on shelves for years collecting junk, then I decided to make use of them in my sewing room. How handy the are for all sizes of things.
