This is the right thing to do!
You never know if your power will be off & you need to be able to have food that doesn't require refrigeration. Of course, if it's winter you could just set the food outside.
Hopefully you'll have a gas stove so you can cook. And a wood heater or fireplace to stay warm with.

NORTHEAST OHIO here. . . been here 35 yrs and we have 3 VERY large, old oak trees with 2 of them hanging over the house. TONS of acorns hitting the roof and the decks. if that is a sign of a bad winter-gonna be a tough one.

People here in Ohio said that last winter was bad here. We only got 63 inches of snow. I'm from NH so I thought it was great.

1 - Lt Snow & Cold
2 - Cold & Snowy
3 - Cold & Snowy
4 - Cold & Snowy
5 - Lt Snow & Cold
6-11 Normal Cold
12 - Cold & Snowy
13 - Cold & Snowy

Roy Krege commented the worm was overall a dark worm
