A short while back, I took a day trip to Waxahachi, TX with my parents. One of our stops was the Common Threads Quilt Shop in the old downtown area. This is a Wonderful store, bright, airy, comfortable, and very nicely stocked.

I am including the link to their web site so you can "visit" for yourself.

In addition, the area adjacent to the quilt shop is very nice with antique stores and places to eat. We ate at the Dove's Nest which was extremely nice.

I highly recommend a visit to this lovely shop and town.

I was born in Waxahachie and every time i'm back in Texas I try to go there. Last time they were closed but a really neat shop.

One of my daughters and family live in Waxahachie. I have been to this shop several times. It is a must when I go to visit.

Went to Waxahachie when we lived in Dallas. I hadn't started quilting yet. I do like the town though.

I belong to a group that does retreats at Our House in Milford between Waxahachie and Hillsboro and we always eat lunch at the Dove's Nest and then go over to Common Threads. It is a very nice store.

I love this store. We were able to go on a Sunday morning during a tour. Beautiful fabrics and some of the nicest, most helpful people I've met.

Thanks for the info. Will have to visit there when we go to TX to visit our dd.

There is a nice quilt shop in Granbury too but I can't remember the name (it's 1 of my CRS days). Check it out if you get over that way.
