Default yard sale purchase fabric from Afganistan

Saturday I stopped at a yard sale and bought these fabrics. The only thing the lady said was they were from Afganistan. I am planning on cutting and making purses out of them.
Does anyone know anything about them? I know we have members from all over.
The blue ones(I have 2) are heavier and about the size of a small table cover. The larger one is coverlet size.

I just want to make sure I am not cutting up something that shouldn't be cut up.If the fabrics have some special meaning or association I don't want to be out and about with my tote bag and have someone be insulted or hurt that I cut up something that has special meaning to another culture.

Can't help with your question, but I agree w/nativetexan, the bottom one is gorgeous. Great idea to ask about the fabric before making your totes.

I have 2 of the blue ones. And she also had 4 lava-lava's . And I loved her prices I only paid $1 each for each piece. Yep even the blue ones! deal of the month for sure.

I think they might be prayer mats. What are the dimensions?

They are beautiful. I never would have thought about insulting someone if I cut them. Good you thought of that.
