Hi,
I thought this would be fun to start this thread about being an addict on this Quilting board site and also the live chat addict.
I sure spend alot of time on this site, # 1 quilting site in the world.
I want to thank the creators of this site and the administrators for all of the hard work to run a smooth site for all of us to enjoy.
When I am reading the posts I see alot are on all times of the day and night. Wow we must be addicts!
I am enjoying this site and sure makes me happy to be able to chat with other quilters all over the world. I have also chatted with some on live chat, instant messaging and met in person.
Let me introduce myself, Karen "Craftybear" and I live in Indiana, USA. My birthday is November 15, 1956. I love to make all types of crafts. crochet, some knitting, spinning, fiber, needle felting, weaving, sewing, quilting and learning to use my embroidery machine Janome 10001. I also paint in oils, acrylics, water color and pen and ink.
I love surfing to find cool links to share with others so I created some blogs to store the links on so others around the world can enjoy them as much as I do. I am known as the surfing queen!
I love the tutorials on this site!
Thanks again and hope to meet more quilters around the world.
Karen

I come here several times a day. I love to see what everyone has made, its a hand into the outside world for me with every day life stories (so much better than the newspaper which is always oh so filled with fun depressing tales of woe). Here you have real people.. moms, dads, grandparents, pony owners, cat lovers, dog pals.. you have the whole gammet of life at your fingertips and .. we know for a fact we all have one thing in common .. our love to create beautiful things. So an addict? Sure.. no calories and lots of smiles and inspirations.

I'm not an addict, no way! I'm not a quilt-a-holic either! (stifles a airy laugh)
I pop in & out of the forums, and nites I'm 2 lazy 2 do things I chat. Then there are times I don't come around the board for days.

both, kinda/sorta ! I love PalTalk to talk. I have some wonderful friends there and we share trivia and have been actual friends and relatives for a long time. BUT this has to be ther ultimate in chatting. Two addictions in ONE! Paltalk is almost as obsolete to me now as Pow Wow is.

I'm a board addict for sure. I check this board more often than I do my facebook!
I gave up playing Farmville, and Farmtown because I didn't have time to play them on FB. I am on here instead! Much more informative, educational and such an encouragement on all aspects from quilting, other issues and to life in general.
This is a great place to spend time - even if the house does get a bit dusty from time to time.
Love it here.

I don't think I'm addicted. I do sleep sometimes. But I do love dropping in to see what everyone's up to. None of my friends/relatives that I hang out with quilt or sew, so it's the only place I can get any quilting talk. I like the fact that it's always home when I want to visit. And if I don't feel like joining in, I don't have to. Nobody holds it against me or asks me what's wrong.
