1 year experience, looking for LOTS of advice
#1
Hello all! I have enjoyed crafting my whole life, but last year my Mom bought me a sewing machine for Christmas (Black Friday deals are AWESOME). She was convinced I would use it once, then store it away. Boy was she wrong! I am officially hooked. I do mostly quilting and homemade projects. I am not a big fan of sewing clothes (I'm just no good at it, straight lines are MUCH easier to do!). I most recently purchased a Brother 1500D sewing/embroidery unit. I am sooo excited to use it. I could use any advice you have to give. I am also very exited to hear what you all have to say. My next project is to make some blankets/pillows for my kennel club's dog show. Any ideas/patterns/pictures of stuff people have done that would be good for smaller breeds?

Welcome from KY!! Up on the top of the page where it says The Quilter's Message Board - right below it says search. You can click on that and put in what you want to search for like example put in apron and it will bring up topics about aprons. I hope this helps.
Also, About.com is a good one to look things up on.
Welcome aboard, hope you'll stick around and even pop in on chat from time to time. :)

Save all your little trimmings from quilt edges, selveges, clipping corners, etc. I've been told they make great dog bed filling!
