Hi, from Upstate New York. We are over by the Finger Lakes :-)
I had never heard of Sleepy Hollow NY I wonder if that's where the legend came from.

yes its where the Legend of Sleepy Hollow came from the author of the book lived in this area. its about 40 minutes north of NYC.

i live across the street from the infamous cemetery in the book and the bridge the horseman can't cross is just down the road.

its a very popular place during Halloween. the town has a month long festival during october - it ends with a Marti Gras type parade with floats, people in costume, and we throw candy and beads (no one has to flash to get beads) its wholesome family fun.

we also have Stone Barn Farms, Kykuit, and Phillipsburg Manor - its a lovely neighborhood right on the hudson river.
