Thread: Hello from abroad

Welcome from Oregon state. The marvelous thing about this Board is that if you have a question someone has an answer.

Thank you all so much for your warm welcome - I´m overwhelmed.

Meanwhile I found out how to upload pics and here are some of my
quilts I wrote about.

this was my first quilt:



here a detail of the quilting I did in each corner:



But I made a lot of mistakes and I was too economical for an adequate seam allowance, thought I would save fabric - now I know much better !!! Yeah, you have to make mistakes so you can learn from them

afterwards I did a memory quilt for my dad with important dates, events and hobbies of his life - I painted them with colors for painting fabrics:

and here my latest work - a quilt and a matching pillow for our godchild:





I also made some mug rugs and some potholders.

For all quilts I didn´t use any instructions; for my new project it will be the first time I have to follow exactly the instruction a huge challenge for me.
