Hello from Biggest Little City

I'm a newbie quilter, having started January of this year. My e-pal from England got me started with two 12" blocks exchange per month, until we finish 36 blocks each. We both love animals, therefore, I have been making her blocks with cat theme on green fabric, her favorite color. She uses butterflies for the blocks she sends me. We will then be finishing them off for our respective bedcovers. Having been inspired with this idea, I have formed a quilt sewing circle, and three out of four of us also started 12" block exchanges each month. The three of us have decided to pick our own patterns with blue fabric theme. So far, it's been a blast. I've never thought I'd ever experience so much joy in quilting. All of us have monthly surprises to look forward to.

Welcome from the great state of Texas! I was born and raised in California....and spent many a good hours/days/week in Reno....so recognized your subject line right away.
I simply loved your blocks. Very nice!
Don't you love the wonderful friendships and skills you can learn in quilting?
Don't forget to check out this boards Monthly Bee Swap...one 12-1/2" block exchange each month. Really Fun
