:D my grandma introduced me to this site, so far I'm loving it. Everyone is so nice to each other and so supportive! My grandmother tough me how to sew when i was really young, 18 now and sewing is my escape from school.(helps relieve the stress..) I have made a few baby blankets and working on finishing my first quilt. I just bought myself a new machine that has so many stitches, I don't know if I could ever use them all.

the story behind the screen name
almost every Saturday i go to my grandmothers and hang out and sew with her all day. My aunt has now joined us and my mom is trying to change up her schedule she can come with us also.

Welcome from Seattle, WA. I agree that quilting and sewing are great stress relievers and can balance your life. Good luck with your education.

Its great to sew with all of them, my grandmother will start telling stories about when she was young and all three of them tell me stories of my great-grandmother. My grandmother actually just gave me some of the fabric that was her mothers. She said she wanted me to make something special with it but I haven't decided what to do with it yet.
