Welcome to the board. My deepest sympathies for the loss of your grandmother and congrats on your inheritance. Would love to see a photo of your quilt. A queen size is quite the endeavor to take on as a first. We are our own biggest critics. Would love to see it.

Hang on to that "awful" quilt. It will be very meaningful as you can compare it to your future quilts as you learn and growl I still have my first wall hanging, it is terrible but it is hanging in my sewing room and brings a smile to my face. I am glad to meet you. Welcome and waving from Colorado
