Default Hello from Mexico, New York

Hello all, my name is Lorraine Falanga. I have just started sewing a few months ago. I had never considered quilting until I bought a sewing machine as I wanted to make curtains. I have yet to make those curtains as I can't find the time now that I have the quilting bug.
My first top was an Irish chain quilt. It is king size and it is sandwiched and ready to quilt, I am a touch intimidated to quilt it. I recently made a crib quilt. I thought I may want to quilt smaller projects before I tackle the king size project. I watch a lot of you tube videos and Crafty to gain knowledge and inspiration. I am amazed at the quilts I see here on the quilting board and hope to be as good as you all are someday.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. If you like watching YouTube, check out the quilting videos done by Jenny for the Missouri Star Quilt Co.

It does take courage to quilt a large quilt - but you will get there! By the way, welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.

You are VERY wise to get a few smaller quilts done before conquering your king size quilt. My first quilt I pieced was a Trip Around the World. Just be sure when you start to quilt it, have support to your left side and behind your machine. You just don't want to be fighting with the weight of the quilt. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!

Welcome from SC Texas. I am sure you will do very well. I started with baby and lap quilts and got the courage to go larger. There are a lot of great quilters here always ready to help when you need it.
