I'm Tori from Loveland, Colorado. My friend MaryTG told me about this board, at the same time she "dragged" me into the world of vintage sewing machines. ha! ha!
I have been willingly following along and quickly acquired three vintage gals - a 1910 Singer 66 Red Treadle, a 1957 Singer 221 Featherweight and just last night I picked up a 1956 Singer 401A Slant-O-Matic from the original owner!!! The 401A is "Lucille" (she told me her name on the car ride home) and she is in pristine condition and sews like a dream. It is unbelievable that I was able to adopt Lucille - along with her cabinet and knee controller - for only $100 and only 5 miles from home.
I also adopted the 1910 Red Eye from the original owner's daughter, and found out when I went to pick it up that she was downsizing and moving ... into my neighborhood and on my street, only 5 houses down. What a freaky experience, considering I drove 2 hours to pick up the machine at her house (the one she was selling to downsize).
Sorry for the long intro! I'm excited to be here and hopefully will be able to Step.Away.From.The.Computer. long enough to actually sew things on my new babies.
Oh - A question ... how do I add a footer to my profile? Thanks all!

Welcome from OHIO!
I think by adding a "footer" to your message, you mean a signature line. At the top right corner, go to settings and then edit signature. You can type in what you want to show on your posts.
