Hello from an Oregon Coastie
#1
I am a long time and dedicated stitcher from the beautiful southern Oregon coast. I love living here and think I've landed in a sweet spot. The weather is cool when everyone else is hot, warmish when everyone else is cold. We have an abundance of wonderful quilt shops, great scenery and plenty of birds to entertain us. I live way out of town by a forest. I get visits from lots of pesky critters like raccoons, deer and a resident bear. Occasionally a cougar will travel through on their way to less populated areas. I enjoy watching all the wildlife but especially the birds. I sew everyday, but enjoy all types of crafts like collage, altered art, book binding and fabric dying. I have two grown sons, who are happily married but live across the country so we visit mostly by phone. I have five grown or nearly grown grandsons who are busy making their own way in the world. All in all I don't think I could ask for more. I enjoy designing my own patterns for quilting and do everything from dimensional art quilts to traditional patchwork. I love scrappy quilts and making bags and totes. I will look forward to sharing and hearing from all of you on your projects.

Lucky you in a cool place. I'm 60 miles north of Dallas and 20 miles south of Durant, Oklahoma and it is anything but cool. Your work is lovely and I look forward to seeing more of it and hearing more from you. froggyintexas
