Hello from Spokane Valley, Washington State!!
Hi everyone! I've been registered for a while now, and just NOW saw this board! Wish I'd seen it earlier, but the eyesight is going...it's an age thing! LOL!
My husband and I (and our parrot, Salsa) live in a house on a hill overlooking the beautiful Spokane Valley in Washington state. Downstairs, in their own apartment of the house, are our kiddos---our son, Andrew, his wife, Melissa, and his best friend, Jessie.
My husband is a retired mechanic from UPS (he had a fleet of the little brown package cars he was responsible for), and now enjoys feeding the deer that visit our patio and watching funny Youtube videos. I operate a small cottage industry in which I make and sell iron on and other style appliques on Facebook and in my Etsy shop. I'm also working on a stock of totes, bags, and other small sewn items...gearing up to work a few farmer's markets and shows the rest of this year.
My very favorite "thing to do" is free motion quilting on my Janoma 6600P. Attached are some pictures of my work. I don't get many hours to indulge in this, but when I do I'm in 7th Heaven. I hope to make alot of friends on here....perhaps even in MY neck of the woods! (well...tried to upload pictures and it failed. Maybe another time.

You certainly stay busy. I mostly read, but sometimes post, on this board. You will learn many things from all the great quilters on this site. And welcome from the other side of the country - the beautiful mountains of western NC.
