DOT; don't fly from Sydney to Canberra. The highway south of Sydney is excellent and Canberra is only a couple of hours away. You will see so much more if you drive. I believe there are some really great quilt shops enroute that you would miss if you fly. Our countryside is so...... different to yours. The air has a different aroma/smell because of the eucalypts and other wild flowers, depending on the season. We have appreciated the difference when we have been overseas and come home again.
