Hi, I'm Elizabeth, no big surprise there, right? I made my first quilt at my grandmother's knee when I was in my early teens. Since I have worked on enough hand sewing projects to give myself tendonitice. My current project is my first ever to use a sewing machine. A charmed quilt from my daughter's baby clothes. You would not believe the amount of stabilizer I have gone through! Or perhaps considering where I am you know EXACTLY. :)

My daughter is the ripe old age of 2 years and currently enjoys cutting our Sunny cat's fur. He has lots of it as he's a bright Red Maine Coon.

What part of FL? There are a few of us here, scattered around the state. Stabilizer is wonderful stuff, highly under-rated, in my opinion. There is a pictures section where you can post a photo of it, so we can all oooh and ahhh over it!

Thanks, my camera got broken on my last trip to Disney, so it will be a little while before I can post photos. :)

Just north of the Tampa Bay Area up in Pasco County, head North on US Hwy 19 and one of those many little towns is mine. :)

There were a few others from Pinellas, and one guy who never really got involved from Tampa. I'm in Polk County, south of I-4. There's a quilt shop on e-bay that sells Victorian Prints transferred to cotton that is based out of Largo, but I have never gone there.

Shops in my area are few and very pricey. Got any good ones out your way?

Hi Elizabeth & Welcome! I have relatives in Tampa & Dade city...are you near there? You should enjoy this site. Always somthing new going on & lots of nice people. Let us see some of your work when you have time to post it (since you have a 2 yr old I was thinking your time might be monopolized) :D

Happy to meet you :D I guess it is better that she is cutting the cat's hair rather than her own  Would love to see your work when you can post some pictures :D
