Hi Everyone!
Hi Everyone! I'm a novice quilter. I finished my first quilt top in November 2011. I'm so hooked. I'm absolutely not interested in hand quilting and thus shied away from making quilts - had absolutely NO interest what so ever. Then in about May 2011, my 78 year old mother bought a computerized long arm Statler Stitcher and opened a shop to the public and whap - I started seeing a whole new side and creativity and designs and opportunities and thought...why not? So I did and I'm addicted. I've been lurking on this forum since November and decided I could finally say 'hi' and what an inspiration y'all are to so many. You're all so accomplished and creative. My avatar is the 2nd quilt I made, completed in January 2012. I've only made 4, the 4th one (A OBW) is being quilted this next week...can't wait to see it 'finished'. I'll try to post pics later of the 'group' Thank you all for being a friendly and supportive group!

Thank you!
Dublb - we live in rural Mitchell county (Colorado City) I work in Snyder and my mom's shop is also in Snyder.
Thanks Kathy!
Yes Tartan - I do wait in line and I have to say - I haven't even begun to 'figure' out that cad software that runs it. I'm just thankful that she has it and she knows it, does it and enjoys it! This image is my first quilt - she quilted each angle/border/sash (?) with a different sized celtic knot and I think used 2 or 3 different patterns. We switched thread each fabric color to match. This is the one that sucked me in when i saw the 'finished' product lol.

Beautiful quilt (and welcome to the board)!
We have a town called Snyder about 30 minutes north of where I live. I'm always amused to hear of other towns with the same name, in far-flung places.
