Hi everyone
My name is Tanja from way over across the ocean: the Netherlands. I am married and we have two sons, who have already flown the nest. I work parttime as project support officer at a non-profit organisation.
In my free time (always too little) I sew my own clothes and I love to quilt. I used to patch and quilt by hand, but due to osteoarthritis in my hands that is becoming more and more difficult and painful. So I had to switch to quilting by machine. So I am still learning as this is a very different technique. But practise makes perfect or almost.
Looking forward to get in contact with other quilters.

Welcome from Las Vegas! I'm from the Netherlands too, Haarlem. We moved to the US when I was 6, but I still have a lot of family there. I was there last February with a quilt for my Tante, and no one knew what a quilt was. I did meet one lady who quilted and she told me of a quilt shop there...nice for me!
