Hi,
I'm new and from West Virginia. I like to make quilts so far all 4 have been for my kids, but I didn't quilt them myself. I usually do nine patches and knot them. My Mother and My Aunt quilt all the time and is always wanting me to also. MAYBE?

Mary Marie, Hello and welcome from Arizona. First of all we don't have any quilt police on this site. Finishing your quilts is totally personal preference. Whether you tie, machine or hand quilt doesn't make any difference. If you decide to try machine quilting stitching in the ditch is the most simple quilting stitch and I'm sure your Mom or Sister can help you.
