watch videos on you tube for beginner quilters you will learn alot on you tube if you can watch lots of videos

Like everyone else has said.. get familiar with your sewing machine first. I'd suggest making a pillow case. That would be a good way to master a straight stitch. My first quilt was rail-fence. And that was last October. You can have fun with this craft. |

Hi from East TN! I really can't add any better advice than what's been said! Learning about your machine will make things much easier. Buying a charm pack of fabric and sewing the squares together is great practice for getting a true 1/4 inch seam and matching corners, and you'll have a nice wall hanging or baby size quilt when you're done.
