Hi,
My name is Kathy and I have some flannel and regular quilting fabric I would like to donate. I live in Chaska, MN and maybe some of you have an idea as to where I could take it. Most of the flannel is for children and would make great baby quilts. I would prefer to give to an organization or individual that also donates the finished quilts. Thanks |
You can also contact a local quilt store to see if they do donation projects, or if there is a quilt guild that could use the fabric, or even a ladies church group. God Bless you for 'paying it forward'.

Hi Kathy,
Check with your local Senior Center. The one near me accepts fabric donations and also donates the finished quilts. |

Hello. You can also donate to Quilts for Kids. They accept fabric donations, which will be made into quilts and donated to kids in the hospital.
www.quiltsforkids.org/volunteer/ The following excerpt is taken from their website. "If you are someone with a stash of fun child-oriented fabrics: Is there fabric taking up valuable space in your closet that you intended to use in a quilt or other craft project? Don’t feel guilty about not doing the project—donate it to us to be made into quilts for the children we serve. You can even take a tax deduction for this! Send the fabric to headquarters or contact your local QFK chapter. Fabric has to be “new,” unused, and not clothing or draperies, etc." |
Quilts for Kids is a Great place to donate to they really use all pieces.
