Hi Good morning from Washington! I have posted a quilt already, but just want to say thank-you for all your wonderful compliments! I have been quilting for a few years, it is my passion love it, I commission quilts, do charity quilts and I also have a long arm quilter so I keep very busy. I was asked to do beginner classes for quilters in this new year. Do you have and suggestions as to where to start and which blocks to teach. There is so much to learn! The learning curve just gets bigger and bigger everyday! I have never been on a message board before, but really enjoying it and learning new things along the way Thank-you

Hi from Colorado

Welcome and waving from Arkansas! We're happy to have you join the ranks. Maybe a Disappearing 9 Patch for your class.

Welcome from Colorado. As LeeAnn said, a Disappearing 9 Patch would be a really good choice for beginners---covers measuring, cutting, matching points, block squaring and ends up being really pretty and everyone's would be very different. Good Luck with your class.
