Hi everyone!

I'm trying to get back into Quilting, for awhile now I haven't made anything. What's wrong with me???? This is my passion.

Nothing's wrong with you. You just haven't seen anything recently that's clicked. Take a class, pick up a new book or magazine, go to a quilt show, anything that will stimulate your quilting senses.

Thanks I really believe you are right! Every since the Economy hit us hard, I feel that I can't go shopping for new Quilt stuff if you know what I mean.

Hi, welcome from Minnesota!

I think it happens to a lot of quilters at times, especially in the summer months. You'll be back in the swing of things soon.

I know and that can be depressing, so challenge yourself. After all, that's probably what you need more than anything---a challenge. See what you can come up with using some of the clothing that you no longer wear, or that you can find at garage sales and thrift stores. Become a scavanger! I search through garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales, etc. for new or gently used bed sheets that can be cut up or used for backings, cotton blouses or shirts to cut up, small knick knacky bowls or dishes that can be turned into pincushions, scraps of fabric, books, etc. See just how much you can come up with for as little money as possible. All these things will add to your stash. Quilts don't have to be made with expensive fabric to be beautiful. You'll not spend too much and you'll have a great time doing it.

p.s. Remember, ALWAYS offer less. The very least they can do is say no. Even then you'll still get a bargain but usually you'll get the item for less than what they've priced it. A lot of thrift stores can't reprice but estate sales and garage sales can and do.

Same thing happens to me - eventually, something does click in.
It's been as long as 3 months; I continue to buy fabric and quilt stuff; just don't do anything with it.

I think it happens to us all, I had quite a dry spell but now i am on a tote bag craze. they are really fun to do. I started with a free pattern for a grocery sack and went off from there.
