Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome!
I'm a new member from the upper peninsula of Michigan. My son helped me get a picture of myself added to my messages. It was taken at quilt retreat last spring. We did a gift exchange. I'm shown holding my gift from another guild member of civil war era fabrics. I was going to put the one on of me smelling my new fabric but thought you wouldn't get it. Don't you just love the smell of new fabric? One of our guild members said she wishes she could roll around nude in her fabric. We are a bunch of crazies but always have fun! .......quiltingday

Barb V, You said you live on the MI-WI border. I am in the Kingsford,
Iron Mountain area more to the east. Where abouts are you located?
Dah! When I scrolled back to your welcome I see you are from Marinette. Not far at all. My daughter is the general manager at the
new Country Inn and Suites in Marinette. I'm sure you know Chris Castleton from Quilters Haven and Cindy from Pine St. Quilts. Both nice ladies with great shops. They will both be vending at our quilt show next year.
Thanks for the kind welcome!

Welcome! Yup, we would have "gotten" the smelling thing..I love the smell of the fabric store. I'm more of a petter/caresser myself. That mental image of a neeekid quilter rolling around in her stash is well....a bit disturbing

You would have to know our Peggy. It's not that she would actually roll around in her fabric naked. She is the nicest meekest person you could ever meet. And a super quilter. It's because she is so meek and delivers a line like that with such a straight face that she cracks us up all the time.
It's the shock effect. She just liked making the point that she REALLY LOVES her fabric.
