The military life is different from what most of us experience. We have two military family's and have waited as they wait for orders too. Then all the packing too. The wait is torturous at times and then moving and finding more friend's. It takes SPECIAL people to do that. Hope you get that designated sewing area you want

Yes, I understand what you go thru. Being an oil co. wife. They transfer about as much as Military. It's hard to make new longtime friends when we move so much. But, thank you all so much for your safety net for all of us. On a good note, you can talk to us more while you are waiting to get settled. Barny

Glad you're back. Hope your life can settle down a wee bit. Where in La. are you going to be? I live in the Barksdale Air Force Base area. Would love to meet up for tea or coffee if you move near by. Good luck in all the future endeavors you will be facing. And please tell your DH thank you for all he and the rest of all the service members do.

My hubby retired from the Marine Corps 4 years ago after 28 years. There's an up side to moving all the time. The house gets thouroghly cleaned and we decluttered regularly. Things pile up fast here now and the baseboards, under the beds and couches need cleaning badly- haha. Have a safe move! Enjoy your new home and Thanks to you all for your service!

Hi and welcome back. I hate packing and moving .I haven't been on here much lately either. I was on vaca for 3 weeks a while back, my daughter just had a baby , I had a baby shower, made all kinds of baby stuff for it and I've been buried in alterations since I got back from vaca. I guess life just gets in the way, I hope I can get back to quilting soon, also.

Welcome back Michelle! Please thank your husband for his service! My son served in the US Marines from 2000-2004 and was in Baghdad in March 2003 at the start of the war. One deployment was enough. Longest 10 months of my life. . I hope you have space and time to work o your craft. We look forward to seeing your work.
