I've made several quilts over the years, but never anything that has a true design in it (always blocks sewn together and tied). I'm interested in the Jelly Roll concept. I understand that they're 40-2 1/2" X 5" strips of fabric that are all part of a particular fabric collection, but what would that much fabric make as far as a quilt goes? A twin size, full size or ??? What's the difference between a "Jelly Roll" quilt and a "Scrappy" quilt?

I've always been into crafts -- paper (handmade greeting cards and Artist Trading Cards), and fabric (making wearable art). I hope to learn more about quilting here.

My latest quilt -- fabric was already stitched together in blocks.

Hello and Welcome from West Texas! Your quilt is great and your pillowcase is beautiful fabric. I can not really answer about the jelly roll...I have never used any. But scrap quilts are fabulous. In the search bar type in Scrap Quilts and just start browsing...loads of pictures. Scrap quilts for beginners is another good topic to search. Have a great time.

You can get a twin size quilt out of two jelly rolls I think, can't remember how many I used, but I think it was 2
