Default Barn Quilts Galore

I just returned from a trip to Beech Mountain NC and was thrilled to happen upon a Barn Quilt trail. It was so much fun to turn the next corner on the twisty mountain roads and see a surprise barn quilt on a barn, a house, a fence and even on public trash cans!

Here is a link to some of the blocks we saw! I would love to paint my very own to put on the side of my garage facing our patio.

I have been trying to think of a way to display a painted quilt on the outside of my apt!

Wow. There are so many and interesting that the rules do not allow for repeats. Thanks for posting.

So many beautiful designs. I am thinking about making one to put on the end of my barn-shaped garden shed. We have a 6' privacy fence though so only we could see it, but it would make me happy.

Very cool! I don't know about size other than I have three on the side of my home that I made and painted and that are each 12" x 12" and are mounted one on top of the other with space between each and I love them!

Do you have a space beside your door, porch, deck etc? If so just make a quilt block out of wood about 18x18, (or any size you deem good) mount it on a pole and stick it in a large flower pot full of dirt or potting soil.
