    Miss Sue!
I think your "neutrals" are going be GREAT! Another thing to think about is the backs of fabrics, if you are concerned that they are too dark.
    And, Miss Candace?
Can you put Carol Doak paper piecing papers through the computer printer and reproduce your squares in that manner, using your draw program? <wave>

Sorry about your sinus infection, Miss Jeannie ... I am a Zicam person, and lots of people swear by the saline washes. Hubby had an infection a couple of weeks ago and had to get Amoxicillan to clear it up.
You be careful; you know how these things can start getting out of control during times of stress <wave>

    I am soo excited!
After I saw Part 3, I figured out what she was talking about, so I went in to the Post on Friday to do something.
Went through my stash closet there, and found a BIG bag of fabric scraps that was absolutely BULGING with neutrals.
If I use those, I won't have to cut up my yardage ... it isn't that I didn't want to cut it up, it is that I KNEW I had neutrals somewhere, just couldn't figure out where!
    I found them!
And, I found a stack of precut foundations that I will only have to trim down to size ... It won't do any good to stitch them together in the 11" size they are because from experience, I can tell you that the edges of a strip block, such as these are just not worth using in something else - - they aren't really big enough to do much with <wave>

Well, that took more time than steps 1 and 2!! I really like them though. Took
a while to get use to ignoring the voice in my head that kept saying "really
those right next to each other???" But ignore that voice I did and am happy
with the results. A couple of people mentioned using the backside of the
fabric, which I did unintentionally a couple of times, but then staring to do
that intentionally. That really helped a lot. Especially with the HST
triangles. I had a few that were just too wild to use, but turned them over and
    they are quilt history!

I almost have the snowman collector quilt top done. 2.5 borders to go, and that
will be ready to quilt. And I did manage to complete a snowman table runner for
a holiday dinner this weekend. So much progress was made!!

Just a reminder, part 4 is up today. I'm still working on part 3 and with all the hoopla of finishing last minute gifts, I don't think I'll be ready for part 5!

I only have 30 string blocks done too, but may go ahead and do part 4 today as it is so easy and the string blocks are tedious to me. But they did go faster as I got going on them, so may try to get some more done today.
