I bought a Featherweight 221 a few years ago. my nephew picked it up at a garage sale in Florida for me.

Haven't used it as yet but just today, was thinking about getting it out and giving it a try.

I bought it mainly just because !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have two: one that belonged to my mother (a white one), and a black Centennial model that belonged to my grandmother. They're easy to maintain and fix yourself and there's nothing better for piecing. I use a nice Janome for machine quilting, but there's no straighter stitch than the Featherweights.
