I was talking to a lady this weekend who was at the last remaining Hancock's store until it was shut down and she said even though they hoped someone would buy them out no one did. The company did a full bankruptsy, not a partial. I haven't gotten an email from Michaels yet as far as I know. I'm in the habit when I'm trying to save money to delete all advertisement emails before reading them. I'm going to a retreat in October and trying to save for the hotel, even though its only about 15 miles away from my house. I did the same thing last year and had a blast and its the closest I'll get to a vacation again this year.

Around here I wish we'd get more stores that would carry garment fabric. Even our one that used to be more clothing fabric than quilting has cut back. I hate buying fabric on line, I like to touch and feel it first. It would be great to get more stores selling any kind of fabric here. Joann's prices went up even before Hancock's last door was closed for good
