The outside of your pieced HST will then be on the bias, right? Or do you cut your original strips on the bias so the outside of the squares will be on the straight of grain? I have a heck of a time working with bias....my all time phobia, I guess.

I don't look for bias. I just cut a strip where I have room for the length of strip I want. Because I am working with small sections it has never been a problem for me.
I have never learned how to do anything on the bias. Wouldn't know how. |

Thank you for this tip. I love 1/2 triangles for scrappy quilts. I get to use so many colors. I think this will be easier than what I have been doing, Chrissy b |
