If you press with this stuff - - - does it help (hic) the whole quilt process to go smoother? :-)

I thought the vodka would get the operator stiff, not the fabric!

Vodka is made from fermented potatoes, as such wouldn't the residue of potato starch left in the vodka attract creepy crawlies? Just wondering.

If you live where there is high humidity, it might not be a good thing for you to use. I live where we have very low humidity, so I do not have to worry about bugs.

Is there a good reason for making your own spray starch out of vodka?

ziegamomma 02-11-2012 08:58 PM

The main reason you use vodka to make spray starch is because there will be lots of vodka left in the bottle, to be re-purposed in a glass!

Do you use the old-fashioned method of spraying by putting it in your mouth first?

Had to share this about Vodka. Try putting it in your pie crust mix, instead of water. Makes it nice and flaky and the alcohol burns off in the baking.
