This was the very first quilt I ever made!! Wow-that was in like 1979 or so. I had those hexagons all over the house-there were at least a thousand of them and all the fabric and batting was cut using a template--took forever!! I didn't make another quilt for a few years after that project LOL. I still have it-OMG I used cotton, demin, polyester, voile, you name it--I didn't know any better. It was a pattern in Better Homes & Gardens magazine.

I thought this would be a good way to use up scrap batting and fabrics :wink: I think I will stick to cottons though LOL

Very interesting. I think it would take a long time, but a very good way to use up scraps and a great take-a-long project.

I would use very big hexagons and very thin batting. I would be a fast QAYG project.
