This was the very first quilt I ever made!! Wow-that was in like 1979 or so. I had those hexagons all over the house-there were at least a thousand of them and all the fabric and batting was cut using a template--took forever!! I didn't make another quilt for a few years after that project LOL. I still have it-OMG I used cotton, demin, polyester, voile, you name it--I didn't know any better. It was a pattern in Better Homes & Gardens magazine.
