I just received a sample of Coats thread today. I had written to the company (and apparently other quilters had, too) bemoaning the fact that Dual Duty Plus was no longer available.

Coats Cotton Covered thread
35 wt.
3-ply thread
60% polyester
40% cotton

I have not tried it yet, but I was happy to get it and to know that a company will sometimes listen to their customers.

That is thick thread. Too thick for piecing. It's nice to know the company does listen to customers.

I know it says 35wt on the spool but I have some and it is not that thick, more like 50wt

Just by looking at it, it did not seem that thick to me, either.
