I looked up how to "Bookmark" this page and basically it was the same thing as saving it to favorites. I did take it a step further tho. I went to my favorites and left clicked on this page and slid it over to my desktop. All I have to do now is make sure I am signed in and click on the icon on my desktop and here I am. I also saved it back to my favorites because when you drag it to your desktop you lose it in your favorites.

I am a hand quilter and also love doing red work and other forms of hand stitching. I have had a problem with marking my quilt tops as some markers just don't wash out and some do not show up well so I tried something different and it worked for me. I use wash away light weight interfacing and draw my design on it and use glue stick to adhere it to my quilt top. This way I can audition my design with out putting any marks on my fabric. I used this for embroidering on towels and it works great. For doing towels I also use a piece the same size as my design on the back and my thread does not com thru the front or disappear into the towel. I just make sure the glue is not where a quilting line will be and it completley washes out as well as does the interfacing.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post a huge thank you for this category, it is so much easier than trying to find something in my favorites.

My best tip to offer is: Go digital. My computer was always running slow because of all of the embroidery designs and quilt patterns I had stored on my hard drive. Then one day I decided to get a high capacity external hard drive. I spent a long time getting everything moved over but it was well worth it. I have everything in folders in it apropriate catagory. Such as: Quilts; eleanor Burns; Quilt in a Day; Flying Geese. Now I am going to tackle some of my old quilt magazines. I've decided to copy the things I want from each magazine and then donate them. I have some 700,000 embroidery designs and about 3000 quilt paterns on my external. I also add notes and pictures to them, especially if I changed something or if I didn't like something about it. I can't believe how much quicker my computer runs. i do backup my external to Cloud. Also not as much clutter in my sewing room.

Next will come Sewing machine manuals, ruler directionsw (who would think the day would come that you would need directions for rulers) and last my books. I'm thinking of all the space I will have, did someone say "room for more fabric"?

I found that ice cream buckets are great for making templates especially the square ones you buy at walmart.
