I have decided that the Hunters Star is going to be my next quilt to make, so I have been looking around the web at youtube and sites. I have noticed that the blocks can be made in several sizes so my question is what size blocks would be good for a queen size and a throw size ...

I am not sure how much of each fabric you have or how much contrast there is between them. If you want to add another color, I'd try adding in either a light gray or a bright orange depending on the look you want. I think both colors are very under rated/valued.
