A pinwheel would be quick and simple, but striking in two colors.

Buy different shades of prints and solids of the same color, make it monochromatic. I made a nine patch of a light blue colors of prints, It was all squares of different prints, and it turned out good. I got the idea from a Sears sales catalog and made it the size I wanted it to be. The only thing you have to make sure of is not to have the same print side by side.

I am working on Majestic Mountains right now in a colorful batik and cream. Love that pattern. I don't know what layout I'll be doing yet. It would be very pretty in the blues and cream or white.

I did Jacobs Ladder using 2 colors of blue. Really turned out nice and easy pattern to do.

I am making a scrappy pinwheel for one of my DGD. It is blue and white, but just all different blues. Just for fun though, I made two squares of a fun print (both different, but contain some blue) Haven't pick the sashing or border yet, but they will be blue and white somehow. smile. Making it really old fashioned and using a sheet for back and hand tying it. She is that kind of girl, just like Gma...LOL.
