As written in title ---had called White company once but now can not find number to phone them re a White --model UN 7.
Anybody have one --only basic with zigzag but the feed dogs drop. Now taking it to fix tension.
Also I have a singer 301 A but can not see any serial #. It has a metal frame over the bottom as it sits in a cabinet but don't want to undo any screws without having lots if time to deal with it. suggestions please !!!! will check back later tia

Check the manual for how to remove the 301 from the cradle. I think you just disconnect the cords, push down on the curved latch handle under the needle end of the machine and lift the machine out of the cradle by the handle.
The serial number is stamped on the underside of the machine in pretty small letters, if I remember correctly. You might have to remove the large screw and bottom cover to see it. :)
