Default Need help with pattern directions

Could someone please explain to me these cutting directions please.

Pattern cutting directions say to:

Cut (2) strips 2" x WOF. Cut (8) 2" x 3 3/8 rectangles and (8) 2" squares. Does this mean to cut the rectangles and squares from the 2" x WOF strips?

yes that is how I would interpret it if it is all worded together like you have it written above. Good luck! Also what pattern are you working on ?

Yes - however, if you add up all that cutting (8*3 3/8 plus 8*2) you get 43". If your fabric is wide enough, you just might be able to get that much out of one strip (though unlikely) but you surely don't need 2 full strips. I would cut just one strip, get as many pieces as possible out of it, and then see if I had enough scraps (assuming you've already cut other things from that fabric) to get the remaining ones rather than cut a second strip.
