505 spray and fix, temporay
#2
I think I just answered my own question. I looked up the 505 spray on the Odif website and it definitely states it washes out and cleans up with soap and water. No mention of dry cleaning. Funny, I always think of coming to the QuiltingBoard first!

I've considered buying 505 spray too, but haven't yet because of the dry cleaning issue and I'm a bit worried about the chemicals in it. I don't really like the idea of spraying chemicals into a quilt and then needing to use more chemicals to wash it out.

I've used 505 for years with temporaily placing embroidery templates before KK2000 came out. Patsy Thompson states on her site she's used 505 for spray basting all her quilts, stays for a long time even if you haven't quilted yet. Yes it washes out, but if you're got over spray wash away quickly as the area will be sticky for a long time.
